Frere Independent is now accepting applications for PooL Video, a Miami edition of its annual independent PooL Art Fair.  PooL Video will take place at the Econo Lodge South Beach from Dec 2nd to 4th, 2005.  All selected artists will have rooms reserved in which to display their work, creating a unique and intimate setting in which to share with the public their most recent work: unique, original, and challenging art. There is no participation fee and Frere Independent does not take a commission on any works sold. Artists pay only the hotel room fee and travel expenses. The show will be comprised of young contemporary art dealers, artist agents, emerging galleries, artists' collectives, and non-profit organizations. Hence, the fair will serve as an invaluable resource for the artistic community and the general public.

PooL Video is primarily an artists’ fair. Eligible for participation are artists’ groups, curators, artist agents, private dealers and bourgeoning art dealers. We would like to invite one or two mainstream galleries as mentors for the fair. For PooL Video, artists must be working within the video medium and a portion of the work that is displayed must include video.

All applicants will be reviewed by the PooL Video Miami Beach 2005 Selection Committee, a peer group of international curators. Only the exhibitors who are accepted by the Selection Committee may exhibit at the fair
