Selection
Application to the PooL Art Fair is free and open to all mediaartists, local or international.
The selection is based on the following criteria:
Quality of the craft
Potential for the artist to evolve in the direction he/she choses
Our ability to place the work in the general discourse of contemporary art today
Aesthetic in tune with over all artistic direction of the show
To apply, artists must send in a completed application from accompanied with 4 to 10 images submitted in a jpeg format via email to application@poolartfair.com.
Art professionals will jury your application.
PooL Art Fair only accepts original Contemporary art works and does not accept craft, decorative arts, furniture, functional glass or ceramic.
Photomechanical reproductions such as offset lithographs, prints run off a commercial printing press, embellished commercial reproductions or giclée (with the exception of photography or digital media categories) are not allowed. Presentation of post cards, calendars, posters and T. Shirts for sale is permitted pending approval from show management.
Frere Independent is a Not-For-Profit Art organization based in New York with International reach. Exhibitions include PooL Art Fair New York, PooL Art Fair Miami Beach, PooL Art Fair Guadeloupe, Open Portfolio New York, as well as Open Portfolio Paris. Frere Independent also lends its support to T&T Art Contemporain an art center in Guadeloupe along with the Rotary Prize for Children, and the Prix Rovelas fellowship for art students also in Guadeloupe.
